We promised you a photo of our bargello quilts. Here is the first one finished.
It belongs to Fay and is proudly displayed on her bedroom wall.
Looks beautiful in the " flesh ".
She is nearly finished the next project already.
This one is Chelsee's. She actually made two.
This one is made by Rachel. This one is quilted on the base. I think a second one is in progress.
The sample bag. A kit from Chandlers Cottage.A Japanese lunch bag. Beautiful fabric.
Next patchwork Day is February 9 2007
See you there.
This is a technique similar to bargello.

Last weekend saw the Mt Perry Annual Art Show held in the Shire Hall. Also on display were quilts and bags from Mt Perry Quilters Ruth, Narelle and Lisa. This hand appliqued quilt of houses was completed by Margaret who continues to patchwork and quilt since moving to Bundaberg. Each house has a different embelishment including cats, chickens, flowers and a wheel barrow.
This quilt has been lovingly made by Kath for her eldest daughter. The light and dark purple squares have embelishments of lace, beads, buttons or even some pearls from her mothers' necklace. Kath has been very busy make a quilt each for her daughters and daughter-inlaw and has now begun one for her granddaughter.
